David [Faulkner] and Crew, I reported DEE's demise hoping someone would come forward with the date. As you know, DEE published DX Monitor for many years. He also collected many newspapers, and (I hear) had a few rare ones in his collection. AS I heard it, there was a fire. With all that paper, I expect that DEE broke a window and a fireball erupted before he could get out. In this case, I would suspect he didn't have time to be rendered unconscious by carbon monoxide poisoning before the fire got him. In any case, it was a horrible ending for a great guy.
