Hello Eric-
I was looking at the article you posted about a radio in a pencil. The lady in the picture, with the article, is movie actress Irene Hervey. Around 1942 she married Allen Jones, a director of some type, and together they produced the a child that became the pop singer Jack Jones. Jack Jones was a popular singer in the late 50's into the 70's. So, now you know what Jack Jones mother looked like. 73's Willis ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eric Floden" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Mailing list for the International Radio Club of America" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, April 11, 2007 1:04 PM Subject: [IRCA] Radio built into a pencil, 1939 > fun article from 1939 > > http://www.boingboing.net/2007/04/11/radio_built_into_a_p.html > Radio built into a pencil, 1939 > I love the idea of a crystal set radio built into a pencil, as illustrated > in this September, 1939 issue of Modern Mechanix.
