Somewhere in the limited, timid, sales effort of Highpriced Dung Radio, I hear the distant ringing of a wake-up call. Go all digital? Sure, please do. And when the coverage of the all-digital signal doesn't make it from the tower back to your studio reliably, stay all digital anyway. Call me when your station's for sale after posting a 0.2 for the second straight book, and the nice people from Ibiquity won't answer your calls. I'm not buying, but I will enjoy hearing of Darwinism in action from one of those who will not survive. Digital talk is still blah-blah, ain't it? After we hang up, call that engineer you fired for telling you it wouldn't work out, and apologize.

Wanna make Creator laugh? State plans. Year ago, lil' Bobbie whined, 'analog will be with us forever'. He expressed frank doubts re 'our inevitable digital future'. Things change... Some iBLOC station wants to go all digital? Should they be careful what they ask for? Analog competitors will welcome former listeners. Avaricious HD fatsos still believe, in era of foreclosures & three-plus dollar per gallon gas, that everyone will hear all digital hash, jump for joy, sprint to Vlad-Mart, and buy ten HD stooge radios to replace some of their analog sets? Of course they will. I'm buying fifty as I type this...... AM/FM weatherproof sets are five bucks. Many spend well to downgrade audio to MP3 & iPod. HD Axis missed the turnip truck. HD cheerleaders can drive down the hill, behind old Loews' State Drive-in, by Amtrak lines, and hold a BigKorpse circlexxxx. Listeners don't care. Average Jomo owns five - ten radios. Estimate of 800 million radios is conservative. People have a saying, 'what's in if for me'. The more they know about HD, the more uninterested they become. There's nothing in it for them. HD Axis can air "Papa Doc Conducts Haiti's Greatest Live Public Executions!", on HD-13. People already looked at HD, and continued along their merry way. It's over. No amount of jamming & waiting out the enemy - us - will change that. Kill AM? Who cares? These bugs are all about greed. Why should businesses advertise on HD stations that lack listeners? Or did some MBA Biz-Model reinvent reality? What part of Flatline sales do these greedy-guts not understand? Radio is content driven. People don't care about technoglitz. They'll strain thru static to hear compelling programs. They'll likewise ignore 'crystal clear' safe, focus-groupthink shows. BigKorpseorate's moribund HD scheme, as with all criminal designs, carries the seeds of its own destruction. Gotta go outside. Pull weeds. Dr. Zecchino PV Zecchino, T.D.
