Bob, The only experience I have had with the 390A (none of the others), is the one Bill Block has. I have had several boat anchors through the years, the SP 600 JX17 was my last one, I bought from Hank Wilkinson in the early 80s. Before that I had an old EH Scott (RBO2). Not a bad receiver either, but the SP 600 was better. Now, all I use is solidstate gear.
