Any thoughts on how the 2010 compares to the Uniden CR-2021? I've had the
Uniden since the mid-'80s and loved it. My only problem is that it would
simply stop working for no apparent reason and then work fine weeks or
months later.

2010 goes where I go. W/passive loop, BCB DXng fantastic. When lived in CA
high desert, 2010 & loop pulled distant AM's for regular day listening. On
cruises, several hundred miles offshore, even days the dial is filled. Yeah,
I
know, sea gain and all, still this thing pulls in sigs like nothing. Sync
Det
kills selective fading and also helps reduce iBLOCrud.

HF good on whip, excellent w/outside antenna, coupled either thru whip or
ANT
jack. One runs here constantly.

First 2010 was pronounced unrepairable by Sony Service, autumn '95. Freq
buttons quit but dial was OK, had couple other problems. Ran until a year or
so
ago, 24/7, camped on HF SSB freqs, until it finally croaked.

Best portable going. Close seconds, DX-440/ATS-803 & DX-398. 2010 compares
nicely w/tabletops.
