a station?

Man, I'd like to own the Corvallis/Albany cluster. I'd change KLOO-1340 back to
KRUL and KFLY-1240 back to KCOV, put codger music (Big Bands, Broadway and
Ballads, aka Tin Pan Alley) on one, honky-tonk and western swing on the other,
and let college kids program the Albany station. Might even bring back
"Rotinom," the program I invented at KCOV in 1955, "Rotinom, going places,
doing things -- to people" was our slogan.

I grew up haunting KRUL, did color commentary and stats on the high school
play-by-play broadcasts ... and had my first full-time radio job on KCOV.

I miss those named block music programs ... The Early Worm Show, Hayloft
Hoedown, with Sheriff Lem Redlap (who used his real name, Mel Palder, for the
pop music block) ... and since there are now two high schools in Corvallis, I'd
have a lot of play-by-play.

I wonder how long it'd take to lose my $80-million lottery jackpot winnings!
