I got a call from Ernie Wesolowski on Friday night. On 5/31 KMA 960
Shenandoah IA took down the 48-year-old 480-foot middle tower in its
three-tower
array, which had been deteriorating and in need of replacement. Until the new
tower is built, KMA will use one of its two remaining towers for
(non-directional) night operation, power unspecified (station is licensed U2
5000 5000).

The station's website _http://kma960.com_ (http://kma960.com) has a short
story on the demolition, along with a video clip of the tower falling. Also,
the website of KETV 7 Omaha _http://www.ketv.com_ (http://www.ketv.com) has a
video clip.
