Seems like the list is the place to get off on loooong discussions of peripheral stuff. I'm trying to set an example, and it DOES seem to be working, that list members exchange loggings and up-to-date format changes that don't make it into SDXM until after a week or two. Michaelangelo, I'm going to send back your Quatum Phaser, as I really can't use it here. Seems that WNCT-1070 puts such a intense signal in here that I get mixing products and thus "ghost" signals all across the BCB during the day. I did open it up carefully and spray DeOxit in the pots, as they were a bit noisy (as one would expect). So I'm returning it a little improved. I did not remove the PC board to trace out the schematic, as it's not my device and I may scratch up the front panel finish. I observe that Gerry Thomas did a very professional job in fabri- cating the PC board and putting it all together. I would be proud to say I'd done that sort of job. I'm packing the transformer a little more carefully in case it migrates, as it could scratch of the finish on the phaser. Thank you for letting me use it for a spell. ==================================================================== About your latest list of X-Band frequencies, and especially the 655-kHz carrier, I listened around and really didn't hear anything that corresponded with your list. You heard the "spur," I heard it; and I can only speculate it was coming from WFNC-640, or more likely WEGG-710, which seems to be shoddy in its technical standards. WEGG seems closer to the trangulation. The 655.3v thing I hear every day may be a "talking house." I may get ambitious and try to track it down. It's probably in that clot of traffic called Greenville. I believe I passed WEGG on US-117 back in the late 90s. Just a trailer and a tower. I guess it's more profitable with the SS programming. One thing you may not have noticed: XESRP-910 runs // to XELNR- 1230 Kinston. Also, I think, XELLN-1380 Lillington. That's it up here on NC-11.
