Well dern - I guess I should have tried a f/up. I sent them a report but never heard anything back from them. Oh well ... Too late now I guess.
Records and copies of reports from back then were lost in a house fire about 10 years ago. Thank goodness my QSLs survived. Interesting that your fridge is adorned with radio-related magnets. So is mine! My goal is to completely cover the fridge with radio and other souvenir magnets :-) I picked up about 15 magnets (non-radio) on our trip to England in June. I was known as the fridge magnet king by those in our group. 73s, Jim Pogue KH2AR/WPE9HLJ/KG6DX1A Memphis, Tennessee USA NRD-535, R-390A, ICF-2010 Wellbrook LA5030 loop, PAØRDT mini-whip, attic longwire, Quantum phaser QRZ.com/KH2AR -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Patrick Martin Sent: Sunday, July 29, 2007 9:03 PM To: Mailing list for the International Radio Club ofAmerica Subject: Re: [IRCA] TIS coverage Jim, I sure do remember WPAM217 Channelview, Texas on 1620. I look at their fridge magnet every day when ever I open my fridge. I got a very nice QSL from them when I heard them back in the 90s and also a lot of info on the station. Their fridge magnet was given out to people in the area that says "If you hear The Sirens. Turn on Alert Radio 1620 AM." Then it gives it in Spanish. As I mentioned, I love hearing TIS/HAR stations. There are so many different type of broadcasters out there. 73, Patrick Patrick Martin KAVT Reception Manager _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected] _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
