There's actually a nice new place with just about all the parts you'll need
except SMT. It's http://www.alphatronics-usa.com/ and is located on the
southern edge of the SouthCenter Mall in Tukwila.

Lots of connectors, boxes, IC's, R-L-C's, etc.

     As Bruce already mentioned, electronic parts  stores are certainly on 
the decline in Puget Sound, but to add to his list, I  would mention C & G 
Electronics at 2502 Jefferson Ave. in Tacoma, a nice  place for tools, coax,
basic 
parts, etc.  For more expensive items, many  local experimenters find
themselve
s ordering from the Internet, or driving to  Portland (probably causing the 
decline in the local market, hi).
