Whatever it is, it is being generated by their IBOC signal. They all
seem to have it or at least most do. I noticed it on KFBK, KGO, and even
KEX at night. It has something to do with the skip signal I would guess.
Any fading it sounds like a hiss fraightrain behind the signal. Really
awful to listen to. It is something the distant listener will not put up
with. Like I said, if this keeps up, the distant listeners on AM will
mostly be gone.
