I just spent a week on Monhegan Island about 10 miles off the coast of Maine. Conditions were not all that different from here in the Providence, RI area. TA's were better, though not markedly so compared to the coast here. I like that island, but it is not a place I'd consider for a home. Roughly 60 people there in the winter.
There are other islands on the coast, however. Monhegan has no buildings on the ocean-facing side, but others might. I am going to look at Matinicus and other islands further up that coast. Kaz may have some comments from his time in Ogunquit in the Portland area. I'll put together some of the high points, though nothing earth-shattering was heard. How about the Halifax/Dartmouth, NS area? Better weather than Newfoundland, and all the AMs are going to be gone soon. Looks like a nice city as well.
