Hi, Colin! Back home from a very exciting and productive dxpedtion to the
Queen Charlottes....long too. For me, it was 11 days worth of non-stop TA and
TP activity, so not a lot of sleep. This morning produced arguably the best
CC/JJ/KK opening of the entire 10 day stay. Each frequency virtually had
audio, many if not most at very readable, or armchair levels. Those also often
had 2 or 3 cochannels too. My new SDR-IQ is absolutely fabulous at "drift
netting" 190 kHz segments for further analysis....at 750 MB per 15 minutes
worth!!! Glad I had a 500 GB HD available. Now comes the fun part of
demodulating close to a 100 files!!!

Yesterday's highlight was India on 684 (from Port Blair) at 14:45 for about an
hour, often at surprisingly good reception, and // to SW 4760. Talk about
being thrilled!!!

TAs have been poor for several nights with last night only yielding audio on
1215....initially SS, and then Virgin occasionally quite strong, but very
intermittently. Sure wish I had access to the type of conditions available up
there always!!!! One gets spoiled awfully quickly!!! ............Walt Salmaniw
