Good ideas... I wonder if it would also make sense to contact the major league sports teams that air on these stations. I guess that won't work with WGN if the Cubs are still owned by the Tribune Corp., but it may work with other stations. Here in San Diego we've had several sports teams change stations becuase of perceived poor reception of the station they were on.
