WTOP/WTWP now WWWT 1500 had terrible audio while it was running IBOC in the daytime. My kid's said it sounded like cicadas, it was a combination hiss and whine, and was very annoying. Anyway, they turned it off and they sound much better. I have to wonder why a station would turn IBOC on if it makes their own audio sound poor.
BTW, I still don't know why Bonneville turned off IBOC on 1500. Whatever the reason, it is an improvement.
