Over-slept yesterday and missed it all, but set the alarm today and am back in the grove. Conditions seem to be recovering well, though still biased to the low bads. Below 1150, I had some level of audio on most every channel, though at least half of it was gurgles and mumbles. Above that, twas the usual suspects, with Japan being much better than China.
The more interesting things heard: There seemed to be a mid-south opening, with 675-Vietnam doing very well (and another station beneath.... rather rare.) I am pretty sure that 1143 was //738 and both were the Taiwan Fisheries station, though both were quite weak. I had possible Filipinos on 639, 864, and 1026... no IDs and the signals were just strong enough for me to be sure that they weren't KK, CC, JJ, RR. They SOUNDED like Filipinos :>) Standard Chinese on 837, but was not the usual CNR1. I think this must have been from Harbin, Manchuria, but no ID. About 50% of the 90 minutes, JOWF was obliterating KMED, Medford on 1440, thanks to the Wellbrook. Patrick should have cleaned up this AM.
