Aren`t there really such wideband transmitters used in tunnels to bring radio
to captive audiences? How does that work, anyway? Re-transmission on each
individual channel in use, or over-riding onto receiver IFs, at least when in

I keep seeing an ad for the latest Will Smith movie I Am Legend which
comes out next month. This is like the third remake of this movie and it
is one of those typical 'last man on Earth' movies. The amusing part is
the sound bite where Smith announces that he is broadcasting "on all AM
radio frequencies" in an attempt to contact other survivors. Now that's
a wideband transmitter!
