Gary, Thanks for the thorough "shoot out". I expect mine to arrive anyday now from Sony. I may see what I can do "hacking" into it and attaching a digital readout to it. KD1JV, Steve Weber, sells an smd digital dial kit for $25. I've incorporated it into several projects over the past year or two. I'll see if there's enough room to mount a JST plug to the LO and connect it with the ddial. There has to be more ways to soup it up starting with a disconnect to the ferrite antenna so that differenct antenna configs can be tried. Any ideas??
