Good Morning,

Only listened from 1445-1505 UTC this morning, but found JOAK-594
coming in with strong audio at 1450 on the 2010 barefoot, and gave it a try on
the
M37V Walkman pocket radio. Fortunately, there was just enough audio to hear
weak Japanese, on this super-small radio. The M37V has great tuning
convenience and good selectivity, but selectivity is not its strong point. On
the
other hand, the SRF-59, which has also heard JOAK-594 here, has great
selectivity, but cumbersome analog tuning. Quite an interesting tradeoff, but
any
time you can have a thrilling contact like this, you take it!
Congratulations to Dennis also, for logging 2 TP's on the M37V. I
doubt that I will ever get those 2 here on the M37V, because of local QRM (on
774
and 828).

          73, Gary
