Your 'storm report' was truly scary Pat.  Thankfully your damage (to
both property & psyche) was minimal.  With good luck it will be another
60 years before another one like this develops in your area.

Interesting how major storms are classified.  In the North Atlantic they
are Hurricanes.  In the Indian Ocean and Indonesia they are Cyclones.
In the Pacific around Japan & China & Southern California on south they
are Typhoons.  But those bloody Arctic storms that sweep down the coast
of Alaska, Canada & Western US are just called Winter Storms, or at best
Gales.  Wonder who came up with this phraseology?
