Hello All,
Although the focus on the current "Pocket Radio Shootout" review will
obviously be on AM-DX capability of the respective units (SRF-59, SRF-M37V,
DT200VX, and ICF-S10Mk2), the Stereo-FM performance of these units is also
quite amazing, and some members may wish to hear detailed reports of the
units'
FM sensitivity, and stereo audio quality. The reviewer, a confirmed FM DXer,
would be very happy to share this information with any interested members,
who may be "sitting on the fence" about which unit to purchase.
Also, because of many highly-welcome requests to review other pocket
portables in another "shootout" (giving me a nice excuse to buy them), the
C.Crane SWP, Sangean DT180V and DT210V models have been ordered, and (if there
is
sufficient interest and club support) will be fighting it out in a 2008
version of the Pocket Radio Shootout. Thanks to Gil, Powell, Kevin, Bruce,
Dennis, John (and especially Colin and Nick) for your interest in the SRF-59
and/or
the Shootout review, which should be finished this week.
