XEVOZ is all talk, its news being traffic reports, interspersed with commercials. Each minute, at :60, it gives a time check and slogan ID, with two beeps on an automobile horn before and after.

Hi all: Prowling underneath 5kw KLFE a couple miles away on 1590, I managed to hear a Spanish news/talk with frequent chimes, sounding like they are being played on a small xylophone. The note progression is "C-G-C", just like the first three notes in Also Sprach Zarathustra (the theme to the movie 2001 - A Space Odyssey), only much quicker. I suspect it may be from south of the border, maybe XEVOZ. Any familiarity out there with this? Thanks - Kevin S Bainbridge Island, WA _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca<http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca> Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org<http://www.ircaonline.org/> To Post a message: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
