Hello All,
The Fred Meyer store in Sumner, WA had the digital AM-FM stereo Sony
SRF-M37V selling for the 50% off price of $17.49 today, even lower than the
SRF-59 (which was sold out). Both remaining M37V units were immediately
grabbed, and will be kept in reserve for future promotional missions. If all
of the
Fred Meyer stores in Washington and Oregon have the same reduced 50% price
on the SRF-M37V, this would be an astonishingly low price for this very
innovative digital unit, which includes stereo headphones.
The SRF-M37V, described thoroughly in the Ultralight Radio AM-DX
Shootout review on dxer.ca., is a very sensitive digital pocket radio that can
tune
either in 9 kHz or 10 kHz intervals. Ideal for DXers in rural locations (or
Ultralight fanatics on an isolated beach like Grayland), it has 5 AM
memories that can be programmed with frequencies like 594, 747, 774 and 828,
ready
to log one after the other during TP propagation booms. As long as you get
away from your locals, you can have a blast with this radio (TP-qualified by
two different WA state DXers).
73, Gary
