This is Gary, and I'm happy that you are already having fun with the
SRF-59. The unit has a special 30-pin IC chip developed at great expense by
Sony, to provide excellent reception even in urban areas. My recent
"Ultralight Radio AM-DX Shootout" review, comparing the SRF-59 to some digital
pocket
