Yes, the good ole days music on AM. I remember in 1966, I was in Norfolk, VA
and the wife and I had an apartment on Chesapeake bay between 12th and 13th
bay. I had a antenna that ran out towards the beach. Couldn't go the water
as it was a public beach and someone might get tangled up in it. WOWO was
rock back then and receiver had their splatter for 20kc on both sides of
1190.

In 1967 we lived on the back side of Sullivan's Island, SC. Had an antenna
the I had to wade out into the intercoastal water way and laid in the water,
about 450 ft of wire. GREAT reception, but had splatter off of 690, WAPE as
they were rock stuff. My QSL from them has the DJ in front of a mike and a
toy ape tied to it. Which brings me to the memory of hearing KNBR-680 form
SC.

See what happened, you got my old memory bands awake and it's 0430 here and
should be asleep! It's hard to think back that far with out getting a head
ache.

Sometime I will tell you about DXing in the 1950's. Now that was great fun
from Texas.
