Thats the way I remember it in the 70's. The were on HI & Low band & licences all over the state inc. Mt. Washington ( AKA Seargents Location ) As I remember it most of the SP work was done through the county repeaters. A lot of towns had part time PD's ( if they even had one ) that used there own personal cars. One had a Lincoln with a bubble gum on top, nice ride ! So unlike many places state troopahs did lots of local work, not just revenue enhancement on the highways.
