Hi Guys: Today I received the Souped Up Version of the Sony SRF-59 from our Man on the Mountain...Gary Debock in Oregon. Gary was kind enough to take some time and Tweek one of the Stock models up for me to give a spin......and I am most grateful for his efforts.
This afternoon I was able to tune around on the SRF-59 Nuclear Model.......... 5 New Stations logged on the SRF-59 and I can see a definite improvement in sensitivity ....but I need to give it some more time....under different conditions at night.....and in the morning. I can see a great improvement on Groundwave Signals in the 100 to 200 Mile Range. However I can also see a little more problems trying to hear stations on Adjacent Frequencies to my Locals....as the Tweeking has also improved the Signal Levels of the Locals as well!! Bottom line is....it's another Keeper......and with 5 new ones in one sitting....I sure as heck can't complain. Thanks Gary for the time you took to tweek this baby up.....and I'll try to reward your efforts with some Great DX on this Rig......
