From Radioworld Newsbytes January 18 The city council in La Mirada, Calif., this month OK'd the plan to replace the tower that fell when an airplane hit it in a fatal crash in late 2004, according to the Orange County Register newspaper.
Company officials hope to have the replacement structure up as early as this summer. Clear Channel owns the station; the new structure will be 684 feet and stand at 16608 Trojan Way. The newspaper's story of the tower location debate, which includes graphics comparing the tower to other local structures and showing its location near the airport, is here <http://www.ocregister.com/news/tower-airport-fullerton-1956223-mirada-radio> http://www.ocregister.com/news/tower-airport-fullerton-1956223-mirada-radio. _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
