No, my TP was with a replica of a vintage 1-tube regenerative set. Its dead easy to go TP with a so-called 1AD (one-active-device.) One of the xtal set guys is in Hawaii.... with a crystal set the size of a desk top and he routinely DXes our West Coast. I see no reason at all why a crystal set of the modern super-sophisticated variety couldn't get the Japanese Big Guns and, on the right morning, VOA, Thailand from the Pacific beaches of NAm. Personally, I'm gonna be looking for Thailand with an Ultralight. Course, if they add any more power to that transmitter in Thailand, every lightbulb in SE Asia is going to modulate with the VOA audio. Whadda sound and light show that'd be!
