Joe,
The Canadians like Rob Ross and Allen Willie really are cleaning up on
Ultralight DX, and certainly deserve all the awards they will get. They are
truly phenomenal.
But here on the west coast, the only two DXers who have received TP's
on Ultralight Radios are...two Americans. It has been stuck like this since
late November, because it takes great propagation to make these kinds of
contacts, and guys like Colin and Nick just haven't had the propagation so far.
When we get closer to spring, however, I think you can expect the west
coast Canadians to really start logging TP's and DU's, and if they can log
Australia with a pocket radio, they may well break the all-time Ultralight
Radio distance record. We will, of course, be happy to try doing it before
they
do :>)
