Any of you inclined to replace the filter be aware that in addition to desoldering the red wire that connects the board's power circuit on the phone jack end, there are two screws holding the bottom board to the case. One near the phone jack and one near the middle of the ferrite loop. The ferrite loop assembly is attached to the bottom board and all comes out in one unit.
