An MP3 recording Nigel Pimblett sent Friday on a Spanish-speaking station he's
hearing in Alberta caused me to check what KZDC is doing, since I noticed it
last month dominating the frequency, after having never heard it before.
Tonight, it's there, with precisely the same sequential announcement on Nigel's
MP3, between each musical number, with no commercials, but an occasional
additional announcement. It's slogan is "La Lupe," and the sequence includes an
FM frequency. On Nigel's recording, I heard what sounded like Mil Sesenta Tres
(plus something undreadable), which would not be an FM frequency, but a clearer
listen here in Texas indicates "Ciento Tres Punto Uno FM," which would indicate
KZDC ownership may have purchased KEEP-103.1 in Bandera and is running "La
Lupe" programming parallel to 1250.

Nigel definitely recorded KZDC, and this may be why:
