Three new last night on the SRF-59. Jamaica on 720 while trying for WGCR NC,
which had planned to test its new xmtr at 0000. I heard Caribbean-accented
English fade in and out for about a half hour till I gave up on the test and
surrendered to the land of nod. I did hear some bird-like chiprs, but the
city (I'm in downtown Toronto) is so full of noisy electronic critters that
I never assume I'm hearing a legit xmtr when I hear these things. Previously
heard at Burnt River(two weeks ago on the SRF-59, in fact, with a very good
signal).

I awoke at 0415 to hear very loud religious music on 720. Loud, like it was
being broadcast from the next room. Went into a new song, no talk, then a
half minute later, at 0418 EST, the signal cut out, and that was it. Given
that WGCR was planning to test last night, and this matches its format, I am
inclined to count this. previously and easily heard at sunset at Burnt
River. Never here, though, likely because I don't DX much here (until
getting the SRF-59).

While waiting on 720 for a return of the signal, which did not happen, I
tuned to 850 and heard the faintest Reloj ticks and noise I've ever heard on
any Reloj station. C'mon Fidel, just a little more Mojita into that signal
and I can listen simultaneously on 850-860-870. This is new; Cleveland OH
and Johnston PA are true pests. I'll have to sit on 850 at Burnt River when
I am next up there.
