Where can all the AM stations go ?? VHF TV channels 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, after
Feb. of 2009 -- just 1 year from today. The FCC rejected a proposal to join
the "FM Bands" togather. (The Lower FM band from 40 to 50 Mhz and the upper
FM band from 88 to 108 Mhz). It was concerned that radio manufacturers could
not provide a single radio with both upper and lower bands -- and went with the
single upper FM band.) But by adding the lower VHF channels -- ( from 54 to
88 mhz ) the FM band could remain one single band. --- The FCC also needs to
help "Clean up the woods and forest". There are a lot of old fallen trees --
in the AM band. Minimum power of 1,000 watts on any AM channel. Clean up the
clear channels and restrict all class II stations to 10 KW Day + 1 KW night.
