I was looking through the Stormwise site and noticed a couple of interesting things. First, they list a new ferrite rod that is 12.3" long and 1" diameter. It's a ferrite compound more suited to the broadcast band. It won't be available until they reach a minimum order amount. I said I'd take two. I intend to compare them to the larger ferrites I have, and the copper tube loops. If they work as well, then putting two of these new, smaller loops at 90 degrees to each other will be quite useful. Perhaps as a replacement for the two copper loops in the back of my truck. They are small enough that they may also work on the back window shelf of a car.
The second thing that may be of use to the Ultralight modifiers is a smaller ferrite antenna with a pair of coils on it. It appears like it would work as a replacement for the stock ones. HTTP://WWW.STORMWISE.COM I have no business interest in Stormwise other than that of a normal customer.
