Hi Brett,
The Sony ICD-SX57 has a very convenient in-line recording jack which
accepts a stereo mini-plug, and cuts out the microphone inputs completely.
You
can also monitor the signal as it is being recorded. It works perfectly for
me, with the ULR's.
