This didn't happen recently, but while on the phone with Powell, the story came to mind...
Back when I was living on my own, after high school, in Connecticut.. I was tuning the AM dials and heard a station with very clear call letters, promos and etc that very clearly identified the station. They were obviously operating on day power/pattern. I called up the station to inquire about how I could get one. I was told by the then GM (I think it was the GM) that I would NOT get a QSL because proving I heard them where they shouldn't be heard could possibly get them in trouble" Sincerely, -- Paul B.
