I was living in Arizona in the early 70's when they tried switching to daylight savings time (circa 1971). It lasted only about a week and a half. People were complaining it was too hot at night as temps were still around 100 degrees at bedtime. I was just a kid then, but that's what I remember.

Arizona still doesn't observe DST. I was recently there, too, which
reminded me of the fact.
