1906? According to I've Got A secret, that guy at KQW was the first. Alan Roycroft (Hawaii) told me once, a lot of people in the past that got credit for discoveries, were not the first. Edison was an example. The phnograph was invented earlier for some European. I have no idea if that is correct of not, but apparently Alan looked into things like that.
