Yes, I stopped in at NTV in St. John's with an unanswered report one day at
the tail-end of a Newfoundland DXpedition. The receptionist was nice
enough, but the CE seemed so annoyed that he simply scratched "verified" on
my letter and sent it out front. My 1000 mile trip did not seem to impress!
I sent a vacationing church member to the ZNS offiice in the Bahamas with a
copy of my unanswered letter and a prepared card. They assured her that my
previous letter would be answered soon. I never heard a thing!

Barry,
There is always one thing you can do, drive down to WBIX and ask for a
QSL in person. It works. I have done it many times as a last resort.
Generally stations will not turn you down when you show up in person.
For vacations, when driving I would do side trips along the way to get
that QSL. It is always fun to visit stations anyway. It is hard to do
when QSLing a filipino though. :-)
