Yes, indeed. But living out here most of my adult life, I have found the
signal strength is just not there for the DUs generally. You couild
easily hear DUs up and down the dial in the early 80s/late 70s.  Many on
portables. You did not really need good selectivity, as the signal would
over power domestics. I remember 4QN 630 blasting in on the Super Radio
barefoot. 4QL 540 was another. However I did hear Samoa on 540 in recent
years with the Super Radio on one of the better nights.  But back in the
early 80s, the DUs almost were pests, except they were fun to listen to
and I heard & QSL'd so many of them.
