Had to get up for work today, and did so early enough (1140UT) to fit in a little DXing. There was a hint that even earlier might have been useful, as there were a number of Asian carriers until 1150UT, though no audio. After that, the DUs took over, and as always, nothing was really steady strength, with fairly quick fades up and down.
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly): none reasonable audios (though often battling w/splash): none not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise: 774 DU at 1153, though had been an Asian carrier 10 minutes before; 1116 at 1155UT also DU. Burbles in the splatter and noise: 612 at 1211UT, no sign before, with the propagation monitor showing peaks up to nearly 1230UT, but I'd quit by then; 792 at 1209; 828 at 1204; 1503 at 1210UT, all DU as well Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): very strong: 738, 1017 and 1475, per the loop, Tahiti, Tonga (left the transmitter on after s/off?) and Sabah. Pretty good strength, and all Asian per the loop: 774, 972, 1053, 1287, 1566, as mentioned above, gone by 1150UT, though 1566 hung in until after 1200. DU carriers at good strength: 1332, 1386 and 1593 best wishes, Nick ***************************** Nick Hall-Patch Victoria, BC Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list [email protected] http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: [email protected]
