An odd schedule at work today allowed a little DX chasing this morning between
1150 and 1235UT. No real peak period was noted, however, and the Asians were
not as good as they have been, with DUs mixing in before 1200UT, though not
strong. Without using the "DX Fishbarrel", much would have been missed, as
fade ups were brief. Strongest, most consistent, and most undermodulated
signals were 738 and 1475 this morning.

Signals DU unless noted.

pretty darn good audio (at least briefly): none

reasonable audios (though often battling w/splash or noise): 279 w/Russian talk
1150UT; 1566 likely Korea w/choral mx at 1233 after the pattern change to
Japan, which seemed to happen later than 1230, or it was in a deep fade at the
time, as no audio noted then.

not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise: 774 at 1235,
woman talking in EE.

Burbles in the splatter and noise:    180 //279, Russia; 567; 612 at 1201UT;
639 island mx at various times; 738 at 1210, likely Tahiti per inflection in
talk, very good strength carrier; 747 likely Japan per direction at 1203UT; 972
at 1159, likely Korea per direction; 1116; 1475 hints of talk w/very good
carrier strength must be Malaysia

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 702
w/SAH at times, 1098, 1503, 1512, 1548

best wishes,

Nick
