Walt, Sorry I missed you. Too bad you couldn't have given me a call, I could have been there. The EWE closest to the highway is the NW one (23X60X23). The other runs behind the house the SW (24X100X24') I have always used simple antennas. Much easier to keep going here, especially through our nasty storms. When they do come down, they can be put back a lot quicker. I don't need a two way EWE, as I have the beverage to the East. The only direction I would like to have a EWE is to the NE, towards Europe. The SW EWE could be dual except for the 3-4 feet of water in the field every Winter. The coax would be sitting under all of that water. Plus the soil is very soft and a cow could easily step right on the coax and snap it.
