Yes,50KW on 550 did cover a lot of area and was located west of Fredericton,NB and was almost local in Moncton at over a hundred miles east,over not so flat ground and as a slogan for the station they called it Radio Atlantic,CFNB 550.Bill in BC

Was 740 in Toronto run from the old CBC site or a new location? That one did return, as did 690 and 940 in Montreal. I am sort of expecting someone will file for the 1070 Sackville allocation. Though, the old 550 New Brunswick station never came back. 50kw on 550 must have covered a heck of a lot of the Maritime Provinces.
