I suppose I must admit that, as Paul Walker did, senior moments aren't limited 
to those of us who've reached retirement age. In my younger days, I've used the 
line "My father is a professor, but I'm the absent-minded one in the family," 
and when I was even younger, my mother used to call me "Unky," short for 
"Unconscious." 

These days, I write a lot better than I talk because those common words that 
sometimes slip through the cracks in my mind take a while to find. Fortunately, 
my sense of humor and/or self-satire prevails.
