I was likewise most interested in your very different listening
experience this morning. Also interesting that Craig in CO apparently
also had some TPs, whereas here the band was totally lacking in any
trace of a TP. Even the Russian LW outlets were completely absent.
Going back over some records I likely understated how good a DU morning
it was. Audio heard on 16 channels, with carriers noted on another 83
(with a fair number of decent strength), which exceeded any day I
listened last season.
Certainly no recovery on the TA's here yet, with nothing noted this
evening.

With the current solar activity all the action here this morning
was DU,
as expected. Quite a good morning, with audio on
531, 558, 612,
639,684, 702, 729, 738, 774, 828, 846, 855, 891, 1098, 1116, and
1386.
Now, many of those were very brief periods of audio, and quite
weak, but
it still rates as my best morning for DU audio this
season. Was
especially interesting to hear a few seconds of Aussie talk on
1098,
something I've never heard before. Another first was
hearing audio on
1386, which didn't sound English, so I'm suspecting Radio Tarana
in New
Zealand. Many of the domestic signals seemed
depressed, which
helped. For example tuning to 890 only yielded 5AN on 891,
with no
North American competition. 891 and 828 provided the
strongest
signals, with 1116 lagging behind for some
reason. In spite of the
total lack of Asian signals, still a very interesting morning.
