Interesting reception, David. This station has their studio in the same
building where I work in Charlestown, the northernmost neighborhood of Boston.
I believe their daytime towers are in Framingham, MA and their night-time
towers are in Ashland, MA - both facilities about 20-25 miles southwest of
Boston Dedham is strictly a city-of-license on paper. Perhaps they have a
small office there for legal purposes. Anyway, a couple of points. 1.) They
recently received a night-time power increase to 6kw. 2.) However, at night
they have a severe null to the west to protect WLS. I suspect that, when you
heard them at 2000 EDT, they were either on day power/pattern or running
non-directional. They should have switched to night power/pattern at 1900 EDT.
