Hi, Bruce. Up here in Victoria, I listened from 13:13 to 14:17 or so. Conditions were way down from yesterday and the day before. SF 66, A4, K2. There were lots of interesting things to hear, but one had to work pretty hard to get at them. Nothing on the Russian LW this morning, although SQM on 529 was a solid 8. I did note a nice dawn enhancement, emphasizing DU around 14:00. Also KTWG was in too. Here's what I heard (a 6 unless otherwise noted): 531: NHK1 at 7 558, 567 576: noted by it's absence. Only a "5" 594: JOAK at 9 at 13:36. Weaker earlier 612: Nothing earlier, but Brisbane at 8 level at 14:06 621: prob N. Korea at 6 level only, though. 639: someone weakly at 13:26 648 657 N. Korea at 7 level around 13:32 to 13:40 // to 3250 666: NHK1 plus a cochannel at 8 level 675: ? Vietnam at 7 693: NHK2 better than usual at 7+ 702, 711 738: 6.5 level 747: 9 level with very current EE lesson: "The economic downturn is affecting all Americans". 765: ? N Korea at 13:49 at 7 level 774: 9 level for NHK2, but DU also audible weakly at 13:50 783: 6.5 weak music at 13:53 792 801: N. Korea initially plus cochannel. At 13:54 clearly heard "For over 50 years....", so likely KTWG then at 7 level. 828: NHK2 at 8 837: 7 level presumed CC at 13:57 918: CC with echo at 13:59 at 7.5 level, presumed Shandong 963: Best of the morning along with the NHK2 stations. CRI Russian at 9 level at 14:02, // 1323 at 8 level. Latter not heard much this year. 972: KK at 9 level 981: CNR1 strong at 8 level 1008: JONR presumed at 8 level 1017: Thought JOLB, but not // to NHK2, so more likely CRI KK at 8 level 1053: N. Korea at 7 level 1143 1242: 7 level at 1 4:11 1269 1278: ?JOFR at 14:12 at 7 level 1287: 6.5 level 1323: see 963 1566: 8 level earlier, but gone at 14:15....not even a whisper. 1575: 7 level VOA at 14:15.
