OK, things were pretty bad this morning. Started at 13:00 and it's 14:12 as I
type this. What a stinker basically with very poor conditions initially. Even
1566 was just a faint het. All that was propagating initially were the NHK2
powerhouses which, for some r eason, were mostly at 9 levels. Go figure.
Around 14:00, the DU really started to appear with a rather strong showing with
Brisbane on 612 at 9 at 14:06 with a nice ID, whereas at 13:30 it had been
JOLK, but at 6+ level only. Here's the meager catch:

279: 6.5
531: prob DU at 14:05 but at only 6 level.
558: JOCR or HLQH at 7
594: JOAK at 13:19 at 8 level, but also someone else, sometimes fairly strong.
 NOt sure who.
612: JOLK initially, then ABC Brisbane all the way
639: Fiji weakly heard at 13:33
657: N. Korea at 13:34
666: JOBK at 6 level only
702
738: Aussie at 8.5 level at 14:02
747: JOIB at 9+
774: JOUB at 9 with EE lesson: "Buy now, pay later"
828: JOBB at 8.5 "Gas and oil prices keep rising"
873: JOBG at 7.5
963 6 level only
972: HLCA at 8
1017: cochannel NHK2 and possibly CRI KK at 6 level.
1053, 1269
1539: This was in interesting station with someone there at 13:50 under IBOC
hash. I'm suspecting 5TAB.
1566: HLAZ only showed later. NOthing earlier. 7 to 8 level at best with
cochannel at 13:53
1575: 7 level for VOA
X-banders: no audio, but 1611, 1638, 1647, 1656, 1683 and 1701 all had rather
strong carriers.

That's it for a poor morning. Still, there's always something worth looking
for! Good DX until tomorrow.........Walt.
